If you are not available online and not easy to find, you will be missing out a lot of opportunities to grow your business. And with a lot more dance instructors gearing up their online presence recently, now it’s more important than ever for you to up your game if you want to survive.
There are many ways you can do to help increase your online visibility, with some more technical than others, but here are the fundamentals to get you started:
Build a better website
Better here doesn’t mean better looking but it means better conversion rate, ie. build a website that can convert your web visitors into paying students. To do this, we need to focus on a few things: a clear message, a clean design, and good quality content written with SEO in mind. SEO is short for Search Engine Optimisation. Get active on social media
We need to start using social media the way it’s meant to be, ie. a platform to get social, not to push for sales. Get active by posting engaging content in order to build trust and relationship with your followers. People only buy from the people they trust. Nobody likes being sold at, so don’t annoy your followers by constantly advertising your classes on it. Remember the 3Es whenever you’re posting – your content should either be Engaging, Educating, Entertaining, or any combination of the three.
Start collecting reviews
Wouldn’t you trust a recommendation from a friend better than from a salesperson? So would your potential students. They would generally trust reviews more than they trust ads. That’s why you should always encourage your current students to leave reviews on your social media accounts and choose a select few for testimonials on your website.
